Match Report
Match Report - 10 Sep 2011, Old Modernians Football Club 4ths lost to Huddersfield Amateur III
How we contrived to lose this match, I'm not sure. Even allowing the fact we are a "work in progress", i.e. half the team didn't know who the other half of the team was, we played well, and created at least 10 excellent chances, to their 2, and should have ran out easy winners. But apart from an excellent goal from Tim "goals" Hill, ably assisted by some superb approach play from Melu, we were profligate. They put their second chance away to equalise, had a good 10 minutes during which they even managed a second, and we didn't have the energy to get back into a match we should have had in the proverbial bag by half time.

And in the after match press conference
"On another day Andy could have had a hat trick-maybe next week" Mullin 'Presient' manager.
"Do Huddersfield Amateurs play in Huddersfield or Halifax?"-Matty Flint (30 minutes late) failing his West Yorkshire geography GCSE after failing to spot the clue in the question.
"I think we've got some good players in this team, I just wish I knew their names "Josh Wheater
