Firstly, a warm welcome to all the new lads who have arrived at the club over the summer. Hopefully you will enjoy the club and stay for many years to come.
In line with the new club policy, the squads for the season were selected last night and are in the process of being communicated to you all as players. These will be reviewed on the 1st Monday of every month, meaning that there is the option for players to move between squads, but we expect that they will largely stay intact for the season. The plan gives us more consistency of selection but also puts more responsibility on players in relation to their availability. Gone are the days when a team might have five or six players missing, usually resulting in the other teams being weakened. It will be the responsibility of each squad to manage (and improve) availability.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
1. KEEP YOUR AVAILABILITY UPDATED ON THE CLUB WEBSITE (at the start of the month, EVERY MONTH!)
- Login, go to Availability, Select Available (ideally) for each of the fixtures.
This helps massively in the running of the club and means managers can concentrate on trying to win football matches rather than chasing people for availability.
2. ATTEND TRAINING
- Wednesday night is club training night , and everyone is expected to attend (within reason). The managers spend a lot of time planning sessions and we need to recognise that. From tomorrow onwards, it will be at Horsforth School, 6.45-8pm. Attendance at training will be taken into account when decisions are being made around movement between squads, so please bear this in mind.
3. PAY YOUR SUBS ON TIME
- Our treasurer James France has recently sent details of this. The details are as follows: £100 by 30 September, £100 by end of January 2020. £180 if paid in full by end of September. Students pay half of those amounts.
Bank Account details - Lloyds Bank Sort code 30-90-09 Account No. 52134960
Again, it helps us greatly if this is paid on time (starting from now) and means that James and the managers don't have to waste their time chasing people for money. If anyone foresees any difficulty in paying, please contact James or myself.
That's all for now.
