5. Boots - Not owned a pair of boots which weren't Adidas for years, being a keeper I dont go for any fancy colours etc, i'd just look a cunt so plain black and white Adi Nova's currently.
6. Playing History - Adel Juniors, Kirkstall Juniors, Leeds Utd U-14s, Bradford City U-15s and U-16s (that was when I was good!), then back to Kirkstall for a year, University of Manchester, Old Modernians.
7. Best Player/s you have played with - James Milner at Leeds, he was actually in the year below but used to often play with us as he was so much better than anyone in his year (and ours!). A lad called Kevin Sanasy at Bradford was class and used to score goals for fun, made it into the first team for a couple of yrs but he threw it all away chasing beer and girls, last I heard he went to York and then Farsley Celtic, shame. At mods its got to be either Zac or Pouncett.
8. Best Player you have played against - Dont tend to remember people I play against but I do specifically remember playing once against Everton U14s and they had a strong, ugly lad up front who was so far above anyone else on the pitch. They called him Wazza - you do the maths! Played against some good lads at uni too but dont remember any specific ones. For Mods probably the lads up front for Gildersome, Matty Jackson has put a few past me over the last couple of years!
9. Football Idol - Peter Schmeicel - Best keeper to have played the game. Absolutely idolised him as a kid and used to go watch him train when Denmark were staying at Weetwood Hall and training on the Uni pitches during Euro '96.
10. Favourite supporting football memory - Beating the Germans 5-1 in there back yard! Made even sweeter by the answer to 11 below which had happened not long before.
11. Worst supporting football Memory - Losing to the Germans 1-0 on a wet rainy day, the last game to be played at the old Wembley. Dietmar Hamann scored a shit free kick and Keegan resigned from the job on national telly afterwards (didn't really care too much that he had gone but remember feeling sick after the result)
12. Greatest playing memory/achievment - Winning both the Wednesday and Saturday leagues with Uni in 04/05. We had a really good set of lads with great talent and team spirit. Since joining the Mods, not really had too much success other than avoiding relegation. Most enjoyable game was probably beating that team from Hull 2-0 last yr, we were class that day, everyone on the pitch played out their skin.
13. Worst Mods or previous club memory - Haha, this is an easy one! Without doubt the game on bedquilts a few years ago when we absolutely dicked all over Cents in the cup and I single-handedly managed to loose us the game. 4-2 up with only about 10 mins left and I had three horror moments in a row and we lost 5-4. I dont think I've ever felt so bad in my life nevermind on a football pitch, couldn't even look the lads in the eye after as they'd all played well really well and I'd fucked it up for everyone - the least said about that say the better!
14. Mods Hero - Not really been around long enough to appreciate what some of the old legends have done for the club so I'd have to go for the obvious - Clive for turning it round and Rammo for getting us through the last few years.
15. Best ground you've played at - Some of the best grounds I've played at were for Uni. In terms of an actual pitch, our home pitch at Manchester is probably the best, it was like a carpet. In terms of facilities I'd have to go with Rich Ewen, University of Central Lancashire, think they had some lottery grant.
16. Favourite Band/Artist and Track at the moment - Favourite ever is Champagne Supernova by Oasis but the track I've probably listened too most over the last year is Use Somebody by Kings of Leon. Also liking Dizzie Rascal's newer stuff.
17. Pre-match preperation routine - Get up, eat and make sure I watch Third Eye, Showboat, Skillz Skool and Crossbar Challenge on Soccer AM. Then get my bag together for the game and watch some of Jeff Stelling and the lads until its time to leave. Arrive at Mods, listen to Mick talk us through attacking and defending corners and the Zanetti free-kick! Then get out there and win!
18. What do you do on a Saturday when not playing football - If we dont have a game I'll tend to play for Bennington's Army or just watch whoever is at home.
19. Best Friend/s at the club - Jonny Wilson and Rich Ewen
20. If you could change 1 thing about the club what would it be - Although its sorted now would have been good if everyone had their standing order set up and ready from the start of the season! We get a good deal at Mods with the mamangement team and Clive putting a lot of effort in to ensure its a good place to be. Failing to pay the small fee in return takes the piss.
