4. Position - Centre back. Started my career at left wing for Thirsk under 9s. Coach back then really knew how to spot a player.
5. Boots - Addidas Copa Mundial. So far no one has commented how they make my play look similar to Der Kaiser c . 1974
6. Playing History - Garnett FC (college team in Newcastle), Blenheim FC, Mods .
7. Best Player/s you have played with - Steve Pyle. Only got to be in same team as him a couple of times (something to do with the disparate levels of talent I think), but always great to be on same pitch as him.
8. Best Player you have played against - Once played for Roundhay School Teachers XI against a local coppers side. They had some lad at centre back won everything and when he put in the effort for 5 mins swanned up the whole length of the pitch and buried in top corner. Turns out he was a reserve for bradford City. No idea who he was tho - they were rubbish back then.
9. Football Idol - Keegan. Watched him playing for Newcastle when I was a kid. Loved the way he managed Newcastle first time round - he knew what was important about the game back then. Shame he couldn't do it with England.
10. Favourite supporting football memory - Leeds in the champions league season. Beating Deportivo 3-0 with Harte scoring a screamer to set things off. Saw him playing for Carlisle at Elland Road a few weeks ago - still can't run.
11. Worst supporting football Memory - Any of England's recent penalty shoot out defeats. They lead you on then crush your heart.
12. Greatest playing memory/achievment - I've only played in 2 promotion winning teams in my Mods career - so for me, every pass that goes where I meant it is precious.
13. Worst Mods or previous club memory - Getting relegated with the reserves (I think) a few years ago. As a team we weren't good enough and went down without a fight. V dispiriting.
14. Mods Hero - Gary Lovelace. Not sure how many hours he has put in over the years sorting out the paper work so we can all enjoy a game of football - but I'm guessing its more than a lot.
15. Best ground you've played at - Played at some pristine pitches at Newcastle Uni - forgotten name now. But would have appreciated them so much more if I'd know about the mud of bedquilts.
16. Favourite Band/Artist and Track at the moment - Steve Earle's cover of Way Down In The Hole. 2 favourite musicians + favourite TV show all rolled into one.
17. Pre-match preperation routine - Enjoy last few months of being able to lie in. Eat bananas and toast all morning. Read YOBL to check out opposition form. Make sure I'm stocked up on double deckers & lucozade for pre-match meal.

20. If you could change 1 thing about the club what would it be - Make my legs last another few years. The atmosphere & set up at the club now is the best its been in my time & I want to keep being involved & playing as long as possible.
