Leeds Modernians Football Club - Mods News

Thanks to everyone who turned up last night at the AGM, really good turn out and a lot of interesting debate about how best to put our club on the right footing for next season.

Summary of main point and decisions;

We are staying with 4 teams, although some are on the move. The seconds will go into the 2nd division of the West Yorkshire Alliance league, the thirds will be in division 3 of the YAL and the 4ths in division 6.

Officers were selected as follows;

Chair, Mullin
Vice Chair, Pouncett
President, Paul Challinor
Treasurer (inc. subs/fines chaser), Smythey (so if you owe money, best to pay up!)
Secretary YAL, Gary
Secretary WYL, Chris Roy
Fixtures secretary, Gary
Social secretaries, and fund raisers-TBC, shortly
Director of football, Mick
1st team manager, Rob, assistant manager, Moorsey
2nd team manager, vacant
3rd team, Dave Willis
4th team, Gary
Website and social media guru, Phil Gillett
Club Captain, Si Oliver
Association Rep and Development Committee rep-vacant (applications to chairman Mullin, more than welcome)

Other decisions (all voted on)

-Bookings policy-after a less than unequivocally successful pilot policy of having the club pay for non frivolous bookings, it was voted to revert to the old policy of having players pay their fines for all bookings

-Subs, will be reduced to £20 a month, but, to ensure all players 'buy into' the club from the start, a signing on fee of £50 will be payable by the end of September, in return for which you will receive a new Leeds Mods training top (pictures to follow)
?

-there will no longer be a discounted rate for those on low incomes, but anyone struggling to pay can make a 'hardship' case to the chair-no one genuinely bereft of cash will be precluded from playing

-sponsorship-anyone getting a sponsorship deal of at least £500 will be rewarded by not having to pay subs

Any quesions, or queries, or if you are interested in any of the vacant posts, let me know.

Cheers
